The company accepts technically demanding projects. From drilling off a cliff side to blasting a disused wing of a functioning hospital, they work at the edge of physical limitations. Their crews have the capability and experience to work safely in extremely remote and limiting sites such as the powerhouse of a hydroelectric dam and the interior of a bank vault.
Innovative Drilling is based in Halifax and their mobile operations enable them to work from northern Labrador to southern Papua New Guinea. Their proprietary machinery supports their mobility. Innovative Drilling adapts existing machinery for the specific requirements of unusual drilling situations. They also have customized drill rigs which can be disassembled to enter and operate in locations with only six feet of headspace. Where conventional approaches to trenchless installation stop short, Innovative Drilling’s horizontal drilling systems go the distance with rock drill tooling technology. Their crane-mounted drilling system can perform single pass, large diameter drilling in deep water while their skid-based remote grouting station enables their pressure grouting activities. Underwater blasting is facilitated by their excavator mounted drill system, lengthy bores by their unique drill rig. The company also has a modified quarry drilling machine to carry piles and drill tooling.
